There are plenty of amateur (ham) radio groups, nets, gatherings, and events in the area between Western Massachusetts and Central Connecticut (the so-called Knowledge Corridor). However, there isn't a Meetup group about Amateur (Ham) radio in the area. We will be visiting local groups, participate on the nets, get informed about local gatherings, and meet in person. Participate in the muck out and mold suppression of homes in the Rockaways, Staten Island and Brooklyn with World Cares Center. Volunteers will be matched with an experienced team lead and perform basics of muck out of homes. Basic personal safety items and muck out equipment will be provided.
